Chico, California!

Chico is a town of about 50,000 people, 200 miles north of the San Francisco Bay Area. It is situated in the inland rice-growing plains of California. It houses the California State University that Atif chose to attend in pursuit of a Business degree. Chico averages about 40 inches of rain each year, and the temperature ranges from about freezing in the winter to the high-90s [approx. 35C] in the summer.

Atif landed in the United States on Jan 26th. He moved to Chico the next day, got himself an apartment, and began to settle down as a college student. The pictures here show Asim visiting him 4 weeks after Atif's arrival. Atif shares his 4-bedroom apartment with 3 other students. He has all the basic amenities to succeed. Also, in the background, and sometimes in the foreground, you get a glimpse of Asim's new car!
